CHANGES TO RED DIESEL ENTITLEMENT.
As part of the government’s commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050, Chancellor Rishi Sunak stated in his 2020 Budget that the Red Diesel subsidy will be removed for most sectors.
With very few exceptions, users of Red Diesel will have to switch to Road Diesel, PrimeHeat35 or HVO.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NEXT.
- Check if your industry can continue using Red Diesel from 1st April 2022.
- You can buy/use Red Diesel before the deadline but start to plan to run your stock down.
- Contact us to discuss your stock and how we can help you switch to Road Diesel, PrimeHeat35 or HVO.
- If you sell or dispose of your Red Diesel, keep a record of the activities; including when and who you sold it to or details of when and where you disposed of it.
- Make sure you keep a record of your Red Diesel purchases before the April 2022 deadline and subsequent Road Diesel / PrimeHeat35 / HVO purchases thereafter.
